Home Depot...

Jarod and I took Cael to Home Depot, last night.  When we walked into the store, my three year old decided that it was time to give me the rules for the store.  I had no idea they were so strict...

Cael: (very serious): Mom, Home Depot is a "man store".  Men come here...you are a mom, not a man.  You can only come if you have a man with you.  You need to stay with Daddy.
Me:  I had no idea...well, I need to go to the restroom.  Do I have to take Daddy to go there, too?
Cael: No, I think you can do that yourself.
Me: Well, thank goodness for that!

Not sure where he comes up with this stuff...

Out with Grandma...

I had the flu last week and my wonderful mother offered to take Cael out for a while on Friday to give me a much needed break.  They first went to the Dollar General.  Since mom only had a few things to get she decided to carry a basket instead of getting a cart.

Grandma: Cael, I'm only going to get a basket.  I won't make you ride in a cart as long as you hold my hand.
Cael: Oh Grandma, I'm three now.  That's really not necessary!

I'm pretty sure he ended up holding her hand but, I am sure he thought he was keeping up with her and not the other way around.  I'm just amazed that he used "necessary" correctly in a sentence=)
